 The parapet above the western portal of Whitworth Road Tunnel (between Wardleworth and Shawclough & Healey stations) on the former Facit Branch. Whitworth Road, the main thoroughfare between Rochdale and Bacup, is carried on the embankment to the right; some buildings on the east side of the road can be seen on the skyline.
