 Looking south across Fieldhouse Road in June 2016. The road formerly crossed over the Facit Branch by a bridge, and photographs by Richard Greenwood in 1963 (reproduced again below) looking south from the bridge show trains in Cronkleyshaw Cutting, with Greenbank Primary School in the background. Today the scene is very different as the cutting has been filled in: it is the field ahead, ablaze with flowering buttercups.
