Looking north across Church Road level crossing c1960. St Mary's church is seen in the background on the right. The crossing keeper's cottage is seen to the left of the telegraph pole. The much altered cottages survives alongside what is now Railway Mews. The four crossing gate posts also survive although those seen on the left have been moved back.
