Station Name: WHITLEY BAY (2nd)

A strangely deserted Whitley Bay station in 1912, looking west from the north platform. The ridge-and-furrow construction of the roofing can be appreciated, and at this time it covered the tracks as well as the platforms. The shields set into the brackets on the columns will be noted.
