Station Name: WIDNES CENTRAL

Taken from the westbound platform looking at the facilities on the eastbound platform in 1964 shortly before the stations closure. It is quite clear from the picture that the station had been allowed to fall into a state of disrepair by this time. Towards the right of the picture the doorway leading to the subway can be seen, indicated by a directional sign.
