Station Name: WIDNES CENTRAL
![]() The train in the picture would have just left Widnes Central Station. It is seen crossing Moor Lane in 1964 and was heading for Liverpool Central probably calling at all stations. The train is a four coach suburban type Derby built DMU of a class that was used in only two places in the country. They were introduced in 1960 and operated only on services out of London Marylebone and on services between Liverpool Central and Manchester Central.
