Looking east towards Bedford from Woburn Sands station c late 1960s. Although adjacent to the railway line it is unlikely the water tank on the fa side of the crossing had any railway connection. There were no watering facilities at Woburn Sands. There was a fire station out of view to the right, opposite the station building.
