1971 - 1987

A Birmingham Snow Hill service waits for its departure time at the south-east end of the wolverhampton Low level down platform in 1971.

On Saturday 4 March 1972 a Birmingham Snow Hill to Wolverhampton Low Level train is seen approaching the down platform of the latter station. This was the last day of passenger services and three car DMUs were operated in place of the more usual single car units.

Wolverhampton Low Level station in June 1984. The parcels depot had closed three years earlier. A class 25 locomotive is seen at the former down platform attached to some parcels vans. The station was used to store old rolling stock.
