Station Name: WORLINGTON GOLF LINKS HALT
Looking towards the infilled bridge from the bottom of the access path in May 2015. Note the brickwork complete with coping on the right. This is Greaves Lias blue brick with coping of Portland cement. We know the bridge parapets were removed when infilling took place, so the brickwork seen above must be that at the bottom of the south-western bridge wing. If so, directly ahead of the camera will be the spot, now buried, where posters were fixed. From what can be seen of the brickwork it appears to have survived in quite good condition. It can be seen in the 1950s image showing the lady with the wickerwork barrow.
