![]() Station Name: YARMOUTH SOUTH TOWN
![]() The South Town bench on display at the National Railway Museum (NRM), York, having previously been in the erstwhile Clapham museum. Information supplied with this picture by the NRM mentions the shell, fish and netting decorations but their picture fails to show it. The NRM does, however, inform us that the bench's dimensions are 845 mm x 2443 mm x 760 mm overall although the bench would have been manufactured to imperial dimensions and the stated metric dimensions translate to 2ft 9¼in x 8ft x 2ft 6in. The nameplate is not original to the bench and this is quite obvious by the way it is ill-fitting and crudely mounted onto one the wooden slats, which would have been quite flexible.
