Station Name: STAINES WEST[Source:

The north end of Staines West station in November 1965. The oil distribution depot that opened in 1964 is seen in the background. It is interesting to see the totem signs are still in position eight months after closure! These days small signs are generally removed before closure to stop them from being stolen. Look at the picture of nearby Uxbridge Vine Street where all the totems were still in place after closure: clearly nobody wanted them. Photo by J E Connor Staines West station in November 1967.
