An express service to Dover Priory passes through the closed Warren Halt in August 1956. 73080 was built by BR at Derby works in 1955 and entered service at Norwood shed in the July. Designed by Riddles, this BR standard Class 5 carried the name 'Merlin' and had a working life of less than 12 years, when it was withdrawn from Weymouth shed during December of 1966 to be scrapped by Cashmores of Newport the following May.

A westbound express is seen from the footbridge at Warren Staff Halt passing the works depot c1957. A siding is seen running behind the up platform; another line, possibly narrow gauge, is seen in the middle distance. A number of railway vans can also be made out in the distance.

Phase II of the Kent Coast electrification scheme was completed by June 1962. This included Sevenoaks - Ramsgate via Dover and the Folkestone Harbour branch. A British Rail Class 414 (2HAP) electric multiple unit No.6116 is seen running thorough Warren Staff Halt in the 1960s.

Looking east at Folkestone Warren Staff Halt in 1978. The new up platform is seen on the right. A small waiting shelter for staff has been provided on the up platform; this is something that was never provided for the public when the halt was open. Beyond the halt a number of wagons are seen in the siding in the works depot.

Warren Staff Halt up platform seen from a passing eastbound train in July 1990. The green British Railways Southern Region nameboard seen in the two photos above has been replaced with a white BR Corporate Identity sign. The platform looks dilapidated, and the halt may well be out of use by this date although a number of vehicles can be seen in the works depot.

A Dover to St Pancras Class 395 'Javelin' passes through the Warren, approaching Martello Tunnel in June 2011. The works yard is seen in the distance; the halt was to the west of the yard.

Looking west at the works yard in September 2014; Warren Halt was beyond the yard. Martello Tunnel is seen ion the distance.

The up platform at Warren Halt has been removed but the earlier down platform is extant; the ramp at the west end of the platform is seen here in September 2014. The line has re- ballasted so the platform appears lower than it was when in use.

Aerial view showing the site of Warren Halt. The west end of the halt was opposite the point where the two tracks converge on the left; the east end was just before the works yard on the right. A number of structures can be made out in the undergrowth to the south of the line which correspond to the structures identified on the 1963 map. Click here for a larger version.
