Station Name: LONDONDERRY MIDDLE QUAY[Source: Jim McBride & Paul Wright]
Londonderry Middle Quay looking south-east in 1883. In the foreground a locomotive and wagons can be seen at the cattle loading platform. The passenger facilities are in the middle distance towards the left. The primitive trainshed can clearly be seen with its large opening and the steam stained timbers above. To the left of the passenger facilities the mast of a ship moored at the quayside are visible. The customs building with its clock tower, seen to the right of the passenger station, had only been completed the previous year.
